Webinar on Rapid Evaluation

Large evaluations (for example implementation evaluations) generate robust findings, but are often costly to implement and can take a long time to complete. Rapid evaluations address the need to quickly assess policy/programme/strategy/function delivery, and establish the main performance data, with main recommendations for improvements, while at the same time reducing the costs and time of evaluation projects. They are also strongly associated with teamwork, quick assessments, and flexibility across relatively diverse exercises of evaluation enquiry.

After exploring some of the key theoretical grounds of MEv, the webinar will share some examples of tailored MEv frameworks to assess the worth and merit of a set of evaluations going beyond the narrow conception of evaluation quality.

Webinar: Participatory Evaluation

Participatory evaluation is an approach, which implies to give voice to the stakeholders of an intervention, in its evaluation design, process and results. This webinar will discuss the specificities of this methodology, as well as challenges and opportunities related to its application. The evaluators aim to instill curiosity and promote a discussion around the use of this approach, particularly in the evaluation of AfDB policies, programs and interventions. The webinar will be useful to evaluators, project designers, and communicators working in development. Join us listen to Ms. Latefa Camara and Ms. Carla Silva discuss participatory evaluation.
