Mr. Andrew ANGUKO - Chief Quality and Methods Advisor

Andrew is Chief Quality and Methods Advisor with the Independent Development Evaluation of the African Development Bank. He serves as principal advisor to the Evaluator General, Managers and Evaluation Teams on appropriate evaluation standards, approaches, designs, methods and tools for the Independent Development Evaluation Department evaluation work. Prior to joining the Bank, Andrew worked as Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for the USAID funded Integrated Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Project in Kenya.

Andrew also worked as a Global Impact Evaluation Adviser at Oxfam GB. He provided specialist advice on tools, methods and process for undertaking rigorous impact evaluation on a random sample of Oxfam's livelihoods projects to promote effectiveness and learning.

Andrew previously worked as a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Adviser with Danya International in Kenya, as Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist with Malaria Consortium in Kampala, Uganda, and as Senior Data Analyst with the American Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where he was involved in randomized control trials on health.

Andrew graduated with Master of Science in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa and Master of Science in Medical Statistics from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Moi University in Kenya.
