Mr. David NYARIGE - Consultant

David Nyarige joined the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) in January 2020 as a Junior Consultant with the Independent Development Evaluation (IDEV). He is currently working on the Evaluation of the Bank’s Engagement with Civil Society.

Before joining the bank, David was working as a consultant with International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) and Campbell Collaboration. Before then, he was working with the African Union as a Young Researcher based in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. His past work has been around the area of evaluation, research and evidence synthesis. He has worked for different organizations on projects and evaluations focusing on; health, agriculture, financial inclusion and education sectors. Through these evaluations, he contributed immensely to evaluation design and drafting of reports. In his past work synthesizing evidence, he provided technical support in the generation of Evidence Gap Maps focusing on different sectors. David is well versed with different methodologies and techniques for conducting evaluations and evidence synthesis.

David holds a Master of Arts in Monitoring and Evaluation for Population and Development Programmes from University of Nairobi, Kenya and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Moi University, Kenya. He also has pursued other short training courses in research, monitoring and evaluation.
