Dieter is a Principal Knowledge Management Officer within IDEV. He first joined the IDEV team in 2018 as a Senior Knowledge Management, Communications, and Events Officer. In this role, he contributes to improving IDEV's impact on the work of the Bank and the region, through engagement with key stakeholders on evaluative knowledge.
Prior to joining IDEV, from 2012 he led strategic communications at various complexes and for different initiatives of African Development Bank, including at the Vice Presidency for Energy, Climate and Green Growth, the African Natural Resources Center and the African Water Facility.
Before joining the African Development Bank, Dieter provided technical assistance to governments in human resources for health at the World Bank. He has also held media research positions at CNBC Europe and at the BBC World Service Trust (now Media Action).
Dieter holds a Master's Degree in Contemporary War and Peace Studies from Sussex University and a Bachelor's Degree in African Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
