Mr. Khaled Samir Hussein is a Principal Evaluation Officer with at Independent Development Evaluation (IDEV). Mr. Hussein has been working in Africa for 20 years, and has been with the Bank since 2005, where he pioneered the Bank’s work on private sector development evaluation. His experience includes results monitoring and reporting, development effectiveness, as well as policy and strategy evaluation. Mr. Hussein’s evaluations cover thematic areas such as small and medium enterprise (SME), public private partnership (PPP), trade finance, and sub-regional development banks. Mr. Hussein has also recently worked on regional integration work in North Africa. Mr. Hussein has worked previously with The Islamic Development Bank and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Trade. Mr. Hussein holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.S. in Finance and Risk Management from the ICMA Centre, University of Reading in the United Kingdom.
